    We’re on the hunt for an experienced SharePoint Architect who ranks in the top quartile among their peers. Someone who has a highly competitive and entrepreneurial mindset that is wired with a team-first attitude, has no problem rolling up their sleeves to execute their missions, and can modulate between leading and following as needed. 

    As part of the Corporate IT Team, this role is responsible for a global SharePoint Online deployment covering over 6700 associates in over 40 countries.  It calls for an individual that’s very higly motivated, able to manage multiple and competing priorities and able to remain calm under pressure.  'Always on’.  The role encompasses all activities related to our SharePoint Online deployment - there’s no such thing as a typical day; some will be reactive, and other days will be getting involved with strategic activities to constantly evolve the platform.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission.  The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.  The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    1. Leverage development skills to innovate and build technology solutions for various business units in the SharePoint Online environment to help automate and enhance business processes, ideally by using standard functionality. Provide executive-level support to local users, in terms of SharePoint and OneDrive, Mac and PC.
    2. Support the current SharePoint implementation by providing training and incident resolution. Assist with site administration, including regular utilization reports and security administration.
    3. Coordinate 3rd party contractors that may develop solutions for Solera. This would include creation of governance around custom solution implementation that would prevent negative impacts to current solutions.

    Additional responsibilities of the role include:


    • Work with Solera management to establish processes and governance around how the business will utilize SharePoint, including but not limited to security and self-service.
    • Explore 3rd-party technologies and platforms that can be leveraged to further enhance the platform and provide efficient solutions for our businesses.
    • Work with regional site administrators to ensure the platform develops in a consistent and cohesive manner.
    • Relentlessly look for ways to improve what we do. Challenge the status-quo. 
    • Do everything with data security and SOX compliance in mind.
    • Escalate issues and work with Microsoft support until resolution.


    Are You Qualified?

    • Ability to earn trust and build relationships at all levels within the organization. 
    • The successful candidate will have deep and demonstrable experience with working with SharePoint Online and web-based development.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills; well presented.
    • Creativity and the capacity to innovate.
    • Ability to travel 5% annually.

    • Broader experience of the O365 environment, with particular focus on OneDrive for Business
    • Understanding of C# languages, XML, JS, JQuery, JSON, OAuth and related technologies
    • Ability to analyze business processes, and translate them into a SharePoint Online solution
    • Experience and exposure to Nintex suite of products especially Nintex for Office 365
    • Experience and exposure to Sharegate or other migration tools
    • PowerShell scripting- perform common Office 365 administration tasks using PowerShell
    • Basic understanding of Source Control systems like TFS and Git


    • .NET experience. Ability to manage and develop services deployed to Microsoft Azure
    • Experience with HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
    • MCSA: Office 365 Certification
    • MCSD: SharePoint Applications Certification
    • MCSD: Web Applications Certification
    • Exposure to Dynamics CRM marketing module and MailChimp
    • Custom development using SharePoint Client-Side Object Model
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API
    • Modern SharePoint customization using SPFx SharePoint framework
    • Knowledge of modern JavaScript libraries like Angular JS or React JS and CSS framework like Bootstrap
    • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and OAUTH authentication
    • Basic knowledge of WordPress sites management
